Nix Names Member of Coaching Staff

Freezers Manager Johan Nix announced the key members of his staff with the club via a press release today. The most notable was another return to Whitehorse, as Nix named Timothy Brett as his assistant manager. Brett, 38, is a fellow American and former Freezers forward who played for 8 seasons with the club, serving in the role of team captain for the last seven years. After retiring, Brett joined Nix at Inter LA FC, eventually becoming that club's top assistant.

De Andre Vincelet was named the new first team coach for the Freezers. The 35 year old spent 8 years in the CPL as a journeyman before beginning work as a coach. He spent last season as the assistant manager for the Canadian National team.

Finally, the club's new head goalkeeping coach is Zavala, another former player returning to Whitehorse in a new role. Zavala, 33, was the starting keeper for the Freezers' inaugural match in S100, and spent 4 years with the club. He spent last year as the starting goalkeeper for Bulldogs FC in his native Brazil before announcing his retirement at the end of the year.
